What is a Single Varietal Honey?
Single varietal honeys are a true reflection of nature, with each plant species creating distinctly different colours, tastes and textures of honey.
Bees rely on flowering trees like eucalypts for nectar to make honey and pollen to feed their hive. On each trip to gather nectar, the foraging bee will only visit one type of flower. This ‘floral fidelity’ is one of the endearing characteristics of the honeybee, and helps us to identify and produce a honey that will reflect one unique source.

The Bee Arboretum
As part of our ongoing commitment to planting trees for bees, we’ve planted thousands of trees through our own Bee Arboretum and tree-planting programs in and around Beechworth.
The Bee Arboretum is a dedicated plot of land outside Beechworth and has been specifically planted with a range of pollinator-friendly trees and shrubs that are native to Australia. The project is designed to support bees, create awareness, and inspire action to drive change for a healthier planet.
We believe in working with nature, not against it. Beechworth Honey starts and ends with bees and nature.
ABOUT THE BEE ARBORETUMYou can help by planting just one tree!
This National Tree Day, you have the chance to do something simple, beautiful, and lasting. A moment to pause, plant, and watch something meaningful grow over the years.
Every eucalyptus tree planted provides essential pollen to feed the hive, and nectar which bees use to make honey that sustains the colony, keeping bees healthy and hives strong.
