Honey Club - Mother's Day Inspirations
The changing colours of the beautiful Autumn leaves in Beechworth and surrounding North East Victoria signal the end of the season for local beekeepers. Time to catch up, celebrate what the season’s delivered, enjoy High Country Harvest celebrations, Honey Month and special times like Mother’s Day. It’s always interesting leading into Mother’s day to observe Mums in nature and what they get up to.
I love bees but I really don’t think I’d swap life with the queen bee! Her hard work means she only lives for 2 - 3 years. Once the hive notices she’s tiring, they replace her with a new queen. She’s one busy mum and probably the most deserving of a Mum of the Year award, due to her selfless work ethic and dedication to her colony.
We’re grateful for all her hard work and the beautiful products she stands behind to make our lives sweeter. So happy Mother’s day to our queen bees and all the hardworking selfless Mums out there! Enjoy your special day.
