Honey & Chocolate Chip Pancakes
Honey & Chocolate Chip Pancakes are a delightful twist on the classic breakfast favourite. Fluffy, golden pancakes with melty chocolate chips in every bite. Topped with fresh berries, a generous dollop of cream, and good drizzle of Bee Creamy Honey, Chocolate & Hazelnut. An irresistible combination, perfect for a fun weekend breakfast or a decadent treat any day of the week.
Ingredients
- 1 1/3 cups plain flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tbsp Beechworth Honey
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips
- 40 g unsalted butter (melted)
- 200ml double cream
- Blueberries (to serve)
- Strawberries (to serve)
- Bee Creamy Honey, Chocolate & Hazelnut (to serve)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the egg, milk, honey, vanilla, melted butter, and whisk to combine.
- In a separate larger bowl, place the flour and baking powder and mix to combine.
- Make a well in the centre of the flour and pour the egg mixture into the well. Whisk it all together to make a smooth batter.
- Use a wooden spoon to fold through the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Heat a large non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Using a large spoon or cup, add roughly ¼ cup of the pancake batter into the pan. Cook the pancakes in batches until lightly golden brown before flipping.
- To serve, stack the pancakes with a generous layer of double cream in between. Top with another large scoop of double cream, sliced strawberries, blueberries and a generous drizzle of Bee Creamy Honey, Chocolate & Hazelnut.
